One-time secret sharing use cases

Most credential handovers fall into a handful of recurring moments. These are the ones we hear about most.

Each one is the same mechanic — a one-time, AES-256-GCM encrypted link that's hard-deleted on first view or expiry, optionally gated behind a code emailed to the recipient, and logged as metadata so you can show the handover happened without keeping the secret.

What differs is the shape of the job. Onboarding is a burst of credentials going out under time pressure. Offboarding is the same credentials coming back, where the thing you need is proof. A helpdesk reset is one temporary password that must reach one named person. An API key handover is a developer problem, and usually wants automating.
